Impact Makers Elects New Board Member – Bobby Thalhimer

Impact Makers is pleased to welcome a new member to our Board of Directors: Bobby Thalhimer of The Community Foundation.

Bobby Thalhimer

Bobby joined The Community Foundation staff in 1999, after having been a board member from 1981 to 1991. As Senior Vice President of Philanthropic Services & Donor Engagement, he has responsibilities in donor services, outreach and affiliate operations.

ThalhimerBobby is Vice President of the Financial Planning Association – Central Virginia Chapter and serves on the board of Richmond Memorial Health Foundation. Formerly, he served on the board of the University of Richmond’s Institute on Philanthropy. He was formerly President of the Science Museum of Virginia Foundation, where he served as executive director from 1992 to 1998, and he was President of the William B. Thalhimer, Jr. & Family Foundation, which is now a component fund of The Community Foundation.

Bobby earned a B.S. in Economics from Williams College and an MBA from the University of Richmond.
