Riding Through the Heart of Virginia For a Great Cause

Cyclists hopped on their bikes to start and dismounted to end all at the same place, but the journey wasn’t the same for everyone. The race started and ended at the Hanover County Courthouse. Cyclists were able to pick their routes through the Heart of Virginia, depending on riding experience and sheer gall:

English Century (102 miles)
Metric Century (65.5 miles)
Half Metric Century (34 miles)
Family Ride (11 miles)

Impact Makers was proud to sponsor and participate in such an amazing, yet challenging event. Proceeds from the event support the Richmond Area Bicycling Association’s (RABA) efforts to raise money for the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, “Bikes for Kids,” and the RABA foundation.

!m-ers pictured below behind their racing sun glasses are Dan Cherkis, Shannon Yeaker, and Rodney Willett. The cyclists’ fearless cycling leader and RABA vice president, Kim Moore, is not in the full team picture picture because she is a beast and was already 25 miles ahead of everyone else on the course. Fortunately, Dan Cherkis grabbed a shot with Kim before the ride started (second below).
