Richmond Venture Forum recognized Impact Makers as one of four Growth Companies on their 2013 RVA Companies to Watch list. On October 30, there was a celebration at the Hippodrome Theater to recognize all the winners with the Richmond entrepreneurial and creative community.
Impact Makers Founder and CEO Michael Pirron spoke at the event, stating:
Doing well while doing good is just good business. This is a growing movement nationally with brands you know, like Patagonia and Newman’s Own. There are local social enterprises moving this trend forward in Richmond including Certified B Corporations like Acorn Sign Graphics, Main Street Benefits, Relay Foods, BrandSync, Grid Magazine, Virginia Community Capital, and TMI Consulting, all like us, trying to make community and/or environmental impact part of their very DNA.
Eight companies were honored. Other winners included MAXX Potential, Refersal, Income Tax School, Best Bully Sticks, Shockoe, NimblePitch and SEElogix.
