Michael Pirron (Chairman)
Founder & CEO, Impact Makers
Michael founded Impact Makers in 2006. Before establishing Virginia’s first benefit corporation, he spent the early years of his career as a Senior Consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in France. His tenure allowed him to consult, with increasingly complex engagements, throughout the EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India) region. As a result, Michael has lived or worked in seven countries and spent significant time in over 25 nations. Later, while an independent consultant, Michael completed an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
After returning to the States, he accepted a position as the Manager of Application Development at Health Management Corporation (HMC), a subsidiary of WellPoint Blue Cross / Blue Shield. Prior to launching Impact Makers, Michael was the Director of Product Development at First Health Services Corporation.
Michael Cousins, PhD (Secretary)
Chief Analytics Officer, Lumeris
Michael Cousins is a seasoned leader who manages the strategic, financial, and operational responsibilities for Lumeris’ PHSO line of business. He joined Lumeris as Chief Analytics Officer following the company’s acquisition of Forecast Health. A biostatistician who built predictive models for providers and health plans early in his career, Michael was promoted into senior analytics, research and informatics leadership roles at Anthem, Health Dialog, Optum, Evolent and Cigna. As a result of these professional assignments and his post-doctoral work, Michael has learned the true value of utilizing all data and technology available—but “not just for the sake of doing analytics.” He uses his experience to help guide healthcare organizations along the analytics maturity curve.
Michael previously served on the Impact Makers’ Board of Directors from 2006 – 2013 and continued to serve as an Advisor to the company from 2013 – 2020, when he rejoined the Board.
Managing Partner, Chloe Capital
Elisa Miller-Out is Managing Partner of Chloe Capital, a seed stage investment fund focused on women-led tech companies. She serves as an Innovation Advisor for NYSERDA. She’s also co-founder of PollQ, a polling software startup and serves on the board of Women 2.0, the leading global media brand for women in tech. Elisa is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Cornell University’s Blackstone Launchpad and the Southern Tier Startup Alliance and serves as a mentor for NEXUS-NY, Launch NY, 76West and StartFast. She’s also an entrepreneurship instructor for the National Science Foundation.
Elisa has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, Forbes and other publications and she speaks about technology and entrepreneurship at events across the country.
Managing Partner, Perlman & Perlman
Seth is the Managing Partner of the first B Corp law firm based in New York City. He has been providing legal counsel to the philanthropic sector for more than thirty years. He works with large public charities, private foundations, fundraising professionals, for-profit businesses engaged in philanthropy, international NGOs and social enterprises, and advises social entrepreneurs seeking to provide social benefit through non-traditional for profit organizational structures.
He participates with nonprofit trade associations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association of Direct Response Fundraising Counsel, Independent Sector, and the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York. He is a founding board member of the Charity Defense Council in support of their mission “to change the way people think about changing the world”. He sits on the boards of philanthropic organizations in Canada, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Founder & CEO, Caspian
Heather founded Caspian in 2005, intent on bringing a scientifically-based strategic discipline to white-glove event planning. Her expertise in the innovation and social good business space have led to successful projects around the globe for Skoll World Forum, Dalio Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Keurig/Green Mountain Coffee, among many others. Prior to launching Caspian, she managed events for Charles Schwab, producing conferences across the country. Previous pursuits in film and marketing include time with Fox Studios, Fox TV, the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals and the Bud Greenspan Olympic film crew, along with ShowBIZdata and Broadstream internet-based companies.

Mike Hannigan is a current investor and founder of Give Something Back, a social enterprise that gives all profits to charity. He is a guest lecturer and advocate for the all-profits-to-charity model and a 25 year veteran of the social enterprise space. His firm was a founding B Corp and he has been a longtime member of Social Venture Network.
Adam Haller, CFA
Senior Hedge Account Manager, Black Knight, Inc.
Adam is a Senior Hedge Account Manager at Black Knight, Inc., providing advisory and mortgage backed security trading for institutional banking clients. He is also the founder of Sensible Investments, LLC, a consulting firm focused on housing finance. His career spans over two decades in mortgage banking, finance and international business. Previously, he was Director Mortgage Finance with Prime Mortgage Lending, a correspondent lender; Vice President at Branch Banking and Trust, Assistant Vice President at SunTrust Mortgage, Senior Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and a leader in international business of predecessor companies of WestRock. Mr. Haller is an active volunteer in the business community, and is currently the governance chair of CFA Society North Carolina and its past Treasurer.
