Impact Makers Expands to Northern Virginia

Broome Promoted to COO, Firm Approves Governance Restructuring

Impact Makers, a Richmond, Va.-based management and technology consulting firm that has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies each of the past seven years, has opened a Northern Virginia office in Tysons Corner.

Founded in 2006 and with annual revenues exceeding $20 million, Impact Makers delivers meaningful value to commercial, state and local public-sector clients through its transformation solutions by aligning business and IT operations to be fast, flexible and informed, while managing enterprise risk. Impact Makers delivers that value through the lens of enterprise agility, data, cloud and security.

Additionally, as a founding B Corp member, Impact Makers contributes thousands of professional pro bono consulting hours annually and 100 percent of its net profits to the community over the life of the company. To date, the company has donated more than $3 million to its community partners, helping them empower others to improve the quality of their lives.

New Community Partner: Homestretch

As a part of Impact Makers’ commitment to serve its community and its clients in Northern Virginia, the firm has selected Homestretch, a Falls Church-based organization that helps families address the root causes of homelessness.

“Since our founding, we’ve made it our mission to make an impact for our clients, community and employees,” said Andy Wolff, CEO of Impact Makers and a native of Fairfax County. “Putting down roots in Northern Virginia will help us better service our clients in the region and give us a foothold for continued growth. Our Northern Virginia-based employees are excited about our commitment to their community, and we are confident that our clients will be, too. However, we are most excited about making a difference in the lives of those served by the remarkable team at Homestretch.”

Impact Makers already is working with Fortune 200 corporations in the region, with plans for continued expansion. It currently has 12 employees, all hired within the last year, based out of its Tysons office and expects that number to grow as its D.C.-area client base continues to grow.

As a result of a re-organization in November, Lewis Broome, Vice President of the firm’s Data Services practice, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Broome has been with Impact Makers since 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience designing, managing and implementing technology solutions and will be responsible for all delivery and solution architecture. Broome will be leveraging his technology leadership experience on Wall Street and as former CEO of a local boutique consulting firm to accelerate the company’s delivery maturity and revenue growth.

Governance Restructuring

The Impact Makers board also approved recently a governance restructuring that brings the company’s governance structure more in line with B Corp certification guidelines and Virginia benefit corporation law, while creating greater accountability for all its stakeholders. The change involves the transfer of the company’s Series A (non-economic voting) shares from IM Holdings to Benefit Holdings, Inc.
