Impact Makers was selected as a finalist for the 2014 Top Workplaces awards, sponsored by the Richmond Times Dispatch and the Richmond chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). At the Sterling Workplace Awards program on May 8, 2014, we ranked 8th for small businesses (less than 150 employees).
In addition, we were one of twelve special award recipients in the category of Meaningfulness. These special awards were based on standout scores and on specific statements from employee surveys. The awards supplement in the Richmond Times-Dispatch quoted two employee responses regarding meaningfulness:
“Clients engaged by Impact Makers, and integrity of work ethic by management and peers.”
“Open communication and the sincere desire to maintain our special culture as we grow.”
This recognition is special because it is based upon employee survey results. Impact Makers strives to create a culture and environment that recognizes how important our employees and staff are to our on-going success.
Employers participated in a comprehensive survey and employees completed a short survey about their workplaces. The surveys looked at many factors, including how engaged employees are, how employers encourage community involvement, and how businesses promote diversity. Employers who scored the highest locally, and met national benchmarks, made the list.
