On December 5, 60 bikes were donated to the Hanover Christmas Mother in honor of Carrie Wortham, the 26-year-old who was struck and killed by a motorist as she rode her bike on a Hanover County road in early September.
Carrie was a giving and passionate woman, a VMI and St. Catherine’s graduate who worked with Midwives for Haiti and Impact Makers.
The Richmond Area Bicycling Association is honoring her by donating bikes in her name to children in need. The group raised the money, assembled the bikes, and delivered them.
