Impact Makers’ Rodney Willett joined Terri Lovelace and Caroline Nowery of Virginia Community Capital (VCC) in a panel discussion about B Corporations at the Micro Finance Conference on February 25th in Richmond. The Virginia Microenterprise Network sponsored the conference, which was hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The panelists discussed why their respective companies became certified B Corporations and the advantages to businesses of obtaining the certification.
This event is the result of a planning partnership with the Virginia Microenterprise Network, Association for Enterprise Opportunity, Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, Empowered Women International, Virginia Community Capital and On Point Services. Conference attendees included micro lenders, small business support organizations, community and economic development agencies, nonprofit organizations, and state and local officials.
