Impact Makers Announces New Hires

Impact Makers is growing! We hired 17 full-time consultants in 2012. We are pleased to announce five recent new hires. Matt Curtin has joined as Director, Business Strategy; Jim Blizzard joined as a Principal Consultant; Dean Jadlowski joined as a Senior Consultant; Manisha Joshi joined as a Process Consultant; and Kat French, as Business Analyst.


Matt Curtin, Director, Business Strategy

Matt Curtin

Matt Curtin is the Director, Business Strategy. In that role, Matt works closely with Senior Leaders and Executives to craft creative solutions for business and IT challenges in the Healthcare and Commercial arenas.  Matt began his career in Healthcare IT at the University of Virginia Health System, where he worked as a Data Analyst in the Perioperative Division. After working on a clinical system-related project there, Matt quickly recognized the growth in the Healthcare IT space and took a position with Mercer Consulting in Washington, D.C., supporting Payer-side initiatives.  In 2007, Matt capitalized on an opportunity to move to Richmond and work with IT services firm, TEKsystems, in order to help build their Healthcare Provider-side practice.  After four years supporting both Commercial and Healthcare Provider organizations in Richmond, Matt accepted a position with a niche Healthcare Consulting firm, Divurgent, where he worked on a national-level through 2012. Matt is a board member with the Virginia Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the preeminent global Healthcare IT association.  He is a graduate of James Madison University’s Health Systems Administration and Business Management programs.

Jim Blizzard, Principal Consultant

Jim Blizzard

Jim Blizzard is a visionary and goal-oriented Senior Information Technology Leader. He has more than 22 years of demonstrated experience in planning, developing and implementing forward-looking information solutions to address business opportunities.  He delivers bottom- line results through effective design, development and execution of high quality, cost-effective solutions. Jim merges a coaching leadership style with excellent communication skills to continually drive focused teams toward performance excellence. He has a proven record in streamlining operations, relating technical information to business users and leading projects to fruition. Prior to joining Impact Makers, Jim was a Director and Enterprise Architect at Markel Corporation. Jim holds a B.S. in Accounting from Furman University.

Dean Jadlowski, Senior Consultant

Dean Jadlowski

Dean Jadlowski is a Senior Project Manager with a wide variety of experience, from banking to public education. He has evaluated business processes for workflow automation, developed multi-year strategies for organizations, created project management offices, led large complex projects, and directed project managers and business analysts. His wealth of experiences enable him to recognize, evaluate, and meet multiple business challenges. Prior to joining Impact Makers, Dean was the Director of Technology with Charlottesville City Public Schools. In that role, he oversaw daily operations, technical support, and projects for the entire school system, managing an annual budget over $1 million. Previously, Dean was Technology Project Leader and Interim Assistant Director of Technology with Henrico County Public Schools for a system consisting of 67 sites, 6,000 staff and 50,000 students. Dean is a certified Project Management Professional and holds a B.F.A. in Arts and Advertising from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Manisha Joshi, Process Consultant

Manisha Joshi

Manisha Joshi is an experienced Project Manager and Consultant, having led and facilitated meetings for multiple Federal agency and Fortune 500 corporate projects. She is skilled at designing workflows, optimizing processes, tracking financials, analyzing data, identifying requirements, design, testing, user acceptance, and end-user training. Prior to joining Impact Makers, Manisha studied in Old Dominion University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and works as a Certified Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). Previously, Manisha was a Consulting Analyst on multiple Federal agency projects with Accenture, including the Department of Education, the Defense Logistics Agency and the U.S. Postal Service. She also served as the Community Service Lead for Accenture at the Department of Education, where she organized community service events in the Washington, D.C. area.  In addition, she was a Project Manager for Lemer Pax and interned at General Electric and Philip Morris. Manisha holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a minor in Business from Virginia Tech.

Kat French, Business Analyst

Kat French

Katherina French is an experienced business and training analyst. She has developed business strategies, facilitated meetings, and created documentation and reports. Kat is an excellent communicator and team leader.

Prior to joining Impact Makers, she worked for Configuration Management, Philip Morris and owned her own pet care company
