Future Leaders in Project Management (FLiPM)

FLiPM provides project management training to youth. Impact Makers’ 2013 contributions provided a scholarship to a graduating senior and allowed FLiPM to expand the program to a new school, Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, Virginia.

Who is FLiPM?

FLiPM is a non-profit organization founded in Henrico County, Virginia for the purpose of providing Project Management training to youth to empower a workforce of competent, well trained, professionally certified employees needed in over 100 diverse industries.

What does FLiPM do?

FLiPM provides Project Management training programs to high school and technical school students in Virginia. The program is an integrated curriculum with classes beginning in the 8th grade and culminating in a senior capstone class preparing them for Project Management Institute’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) examination upon graduation.

Who does FLiPM serve?

As of 2014, over 80 students have gone through the FLiPM Virginia program, including classes in Life Skills and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®). The program includes Highland Springs Technical Center, Deep Run High School and Tuscarora High School.

Impact Makers 2013 Scholarship

Impact Makers sponsored a $1,500 scholarship for the 2013 graduating class from Highland Springs Technical Center. Impact Makers consultants also volunteered hours going into the classroom and interviewing candidates for the scholarship.
