Michael founded Impact Makers in 2006. Before establishing Virginia’s first benefit corporation, he spent the early years of his career as a Senior Consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in France. His tenure allowed him to consult, with increasingly complex engagements, throughout the EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India) region. As a result, Michael has lived or worked in seven countries and spent significant time in over 25 nations. Later, while an independent consultant, Michael completed an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

After returning to the States, he accepted a position as the Manager of Application Development at Health Management Corporation (HMC), a subsidiary of WellPoint Blue Cross / Blue Shield. Prior to launching Impact Makers, Michael was the Director of Product Development at First Health Services Corporation.

Jim is a visionary and goal-oriented IT Leader with more than 25 years of demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and implementing forward-looking information solutions to address business opportunities across multiple industries. He leverages his business operations background to deliver bottom-line results through effective design, development, and execution of high quality, cost-effective solutions.

Jim joined Impact Makers in 2013, serving as a Principal Consultant and Enterprise Agility Service Area Lead before becoming SVP. Prior to joining Impact Makers, he was a Director and Enterprise Architect at Markel Corporation.

Human-centric and deliberate leader with over 30 years of experience in operational management and business transformation, cross-functional facilitation, change management and leadership/team development. In addition, Kelly has earned a reputation for commitment and ability to respond with integrity during times of crisis, providing leadership in difficult situations. 

Kelly’s joined Impact Makers in 2019 as a Lead Consultant before transitioning into the role of People, Diversity & Mission Lead. Prior to joining Impact makers, she was the Core Consulting Team Lead and Managing Consultant at SingleStone.”

Adam leads solution identification and relationships with Impact Makers’ clients across banking, insurance and capital markets. Adam has over 15 years of experience as a consultant, practitioner and leader of financial services teams, processes and technologies spanning back-office operations to digital product development and optimization.

Prior to joining Impact Makers, Adam was a client partner at ICF, a global consulting firm. He earned his Six Sigma Black Belt at GE Capital, is a certified SAFe® Agilist, and has a BA from James Madison University and an MBA from University of Richmond.

Scott has over 35 years of experience in state and local government, higher education, nonprofit, financial services, retail, and manufacturing industries. He has a record of enabling clients to achieve transformational results as a leader and as an individual contributor and in both tactical and strategic roles. Scott’s expertise includes strategy, procurement, information security, risk management, organizational assessment, and change management.

Prior to joining Impact Makers, Scott was a Principal with The North Highland Company, where he also worked closely with the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC), and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Dana has over 35 years of experience as a senior IT leader with particular emphasis on professional service industries such as law, banking, investment, lending, insurance, and engineering. Dana’s skills are a blend of technical, IT management, leadership, and business acumen. She has helped companies find lost revenue in their existing systems, create efficiencies through process redesign, transition from outdated business systems to new suites of applications, develop systems and process designs from scratch for new businesses, and manage large development projects – both Agile and traditional – to introduce completely new capabilities. Dana was a CIO for over a decade before moving into consulting. A graduate of Cornell University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dana is a veteran and taught for 4 years at the US Military Academy at West Point.

Kim is a proven leader of teams and organizations for over 30 years, excelling in bringing about transformative change and process improvement in rapidly evolving, complex environments.  Her ability to plan and think strategically, to be an exceptional communicator, and to work collaboratively in diverse situations have earned Kim to be a trusted advisor and go-to person when successful delivery is imperative.

Kim joined Impact Makers in 2015 as a Senior Consultant in the Public Sector practice, before becoming a Lead Consultant.  Prior to joining Impact Makers, Kim worked as the PMO director at a transportation logistics company and as a senior client manager at a fintech startup, with most of her work career at Bank of America in IT project management, data governance and analytics and bond administration.  Kim has also over 25 years extensive experience in nonprofit board service, strategic planning, fundraising, finance, and governance.
